Our Team

Jani Mitanovski of Macfanatic

Jani

Daylited Certified Consultant in Vancouver, BC

Founder

The importance of something can be measured by how much time we are willing to invest in it. If you want to know a person’s priorities, just look at how they use their time. When Jani is not spending time with his family or working on a community project, believe us, he is working on his Mac.

Jani sets the overall vision and strategy of Macfanatic. He oversees the running of all business units and operations. But generally, you will find him doing what he likes most, helping Mac users directly.

After getting certified and meeting with Apple leaders and innovators he became part of that circle and now loves passing his knowledge on to other Mac users.

Jani has a down-to-earth approach to technical support and likes to keep things simple, without sacrificing professionalism. He was formally educated in business-marketing and it is clear in the way he works. Jani thrives on quality and provides the highest standard of computer support - something every Macintosh owner deserves.

Genevieve of Macfanatic

Genevieve

Founder

Genevieve is in charge of all things related to brand marketing, merchandising, public relations, and perfecting the customer experience. As an ace in engineering the brand story-telling, Genevieve came to Macfanatic with over 10 years of valuable marketing know-how. She is the voice of Macfanatic (you can’t miss that French accent) and usually the first person to communicate with Macfanatic’s new customers.

She values superior customer service, and always delivers gentle, honest, intuitive, and informed answers to our clients. Genevieve has traveled to more than 50 countries and has lived, worked and studied in England, Guatemala and Australia. Taking her place as the green-thumb of the team, her work was expanded to include research and implementation of Macfanatic’s sustainable policies.

Russ of Macfanatic

Russ

Russ plays a major role in a variety of departments at Macfanatic. He works as a quality advisor, planning & program manager, class instructor and on-site consultant. Russ has a long lasting relationship with computers. He started using a Mac Classic when he was as small as a shrub, and now he eats dinner with his Macbook Pro every night. So you can see he has been taking bites from ‘the Apple’ throughout the better part of his life. His understanding and patience with computers has obviously payed off because now he gets to work in a field that is not only rewarding, but fun!

Russ is a certified audio engineer and is able to talk tech like it’s his job (wait.. it is!) Ask any question about music, movies or the arts and chances are, this guy knows. On his spare time Russ loves to play a good game of golf, DJ, nerd-out on some animations or read a good book.

Paul of Macfanatic

Paul

Paul is our personal Mac Genius (only better). His passion for Macs, which began back in 1989, eventually led him to work for Apple, where he started his career as a teacher. After teaching classes and an Apple Camp for kids, he then became a Mac Genius in 2004 by repairing hardware and software. Throughout his career, Paul has helped many Mac Newcomers. His favorite part of the process is when newbies realize just how difficult their XP life had been, and furthermore, how much Macs can help!

Paul once owned a recording studio which explains why his favorite Mac feature is Airtunes. He also comes from a design and photography background. Not only is he a genius, he’s well-traveled too: Paul has lived in Europe, USA & now Canada (welcome Paul!)
